WELCOME TO WOMEN’S MINISTRY
At Heartland, A Church Connected we want to offer a ministry where women of all ages can connect, grow and encourage each other.
Please meet our 2019 HACC Women’s Ministry Leadership Team. Cathy Joseph, Jennifer Lutchman, Gail Bissoon, Zita Guiste, Ashley Beckles, Alyssa Guiste and Wendy Beckles.
Our goal is to provide opportunity for women to build meaningful relationships with other women for their mutual growth and development.
Cathy is married with a 3 year old daughter, Ayanna. Cathy is a teacher with the Peel District School Board and has served on the HACC Women’s Ministry Leadership team for the last 3 years. She is passionate about connecting women to each other and to God and looks forward to continuing to serve the women of Heartland.
Jennifer is married to Brett with two lovely daughters. She has a legal background, but currently runs her own Etsy shop, Milk & Honey Soapery, creating handcrafted, artisan soap. She has served on the HACC Women’s Ministry Team for the last three years.
Gail is married and has four boys ages 11, 15, 18 and 27 years old. Gail is currently a stay-at-home mom who has volunteered for many different groups including Open Doors Canada, Church on the Queensway and she currently serves on the Heartland First impressions team. She is a very caring person who is passionate about helping others.
Zita is married with four adult children. She is a Customer Care Representative, Commissioner of Oaths, and a Financial Auditor at Service Ontario. Zita currently serves on the First Impressions Team at church. She is passionate that through women’s ministry, we find hope to be the friend, wife, mother or daughter that we are called to be in Jesus.
Ashley is a fourth year student at the University of Toronto and is part of the Young Adult community at Heartland. She is involved in both the Children’s Ministry and the Worship Ministry at church. She is passionate about building the Lord’s kingdom and being used by Him to help mentor, motivate and equip the next generation.
Alyssa is student at York University, and a Ballet Teaching Assistant at A New DAEI Dance School. Alyssa currently lives at home with her family. She is involved in the Children’s and Student Ministries at church. Alyssa is passionate about reaching others with the Gospel and extending God’s love to His people.
Wendy is married with three adult children. Although Wendy is new to the Women’s Ministry Leadership Team, she has served on both the First Impressions and the Worship Team and is currently serving on the Board. Wendy is the President & CEO of Shepherd Village and is passionate about helping others reach their full potential, being led by God.
