The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance to us at Heartland. Earlier today, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Williams, advised the “immediate suspension” of all gatherings of more than 250 people due to the risks associated with COVID-19.
In light of this recommendation from our government, and in the interest of protecting those most vulnerable in our broader community, the Board and Leadership of Heartland have decided to suspend all in-person gatherings from March 14 until April 4. Sunday worship experiences will continue weekly through live stream at 10:00am. All midweek activities are likewise suspended, and more information will follow soon about alternate online offerings to help all of us stay connected through this period.
At this time, we anticipate resuming our weekly Sunday worship gatherings on April 5 at Courtneypark Cineplex. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates for you through our website and social media. Our pastoral team remains available to serve you throughout this period by telephone and email.
Please help us spread this message to friends and family who may not have access to the internet. Electronic giving is available through our website at achurchconnected.ca/give, or you can contact Pastor Laura Edwards for information on other giving methods.
We love you, we are praying for you, and we look forward to connecting with you Sunday morning at 10:00am via live stream (Click Here). Let’s remember to be in prayer for our city and our nation, and continue to trust in God’s faithfulness to us!
